The Aquafarer Full Drop-Stitch Kayak uses drop-stitch construction throughout the hull, sides, and deck to deliver the rigidity, tracking, and speed of a hard-shell touring kayak — in a boat that rolls into a travel bag.

No More Banana Flex

Traditional inflatable kayaks flex and “oil-can” under aggressive paddling, wasting strokes and fighting the paddle. Full drop-stitch construction — thousands of internal threads throughout every hull panel — holds the V-hull’s shape at 0.3 bar, cutting through water efficiently and holding a straight course in chop.

Performance Specifications

At 380cm long and 70cm wide, the kayak tracks like a dedicated touring boat. The 10cm drop-stitch floor, rigid deck, adjustable end-to-end backrest seat, and adjustable foam footrest deliver hard-shell-like control. Max load is 350kg (175kg single-rider), with hull weight from 17kg (1P) to 22kg (2P) and a top speed of 9.8 km/h.

Expedition-Ready Fittings

Bow and stern net covers stow gear under deck, while deck bungee cords secure cargo on top. A spray skirt, two paddle valves, adjustable seats (second seat removable), carrying bag, and repair kit complete the package. An inner-hull fixing loop system (12-line / 4-line / 2-line configurations, 2 fixing loops per deck side) secures custom outfitting.

Travel and Storage

At 17-22kg, the kayak is light enough for one person to carry, and the full package fits inside the included carrying bag for airline travel. Unlike a hard-shell, it needs no roof rack and no permanent storage space — it lives in a closet, car trunk, or travel case and goes out on demand. Care & Maintenance

Keep working pressure at 0.3 bar so the drop-stitch panels stay firm — underinflation is the main cause of flex in performance use. Rinse the hull and footrests after saltwater trips. When storing, deflate partially and fold along the seams rather than across them, and keep the kayak away from direct sunlight. The fabric threads should be checked for abrasion after rocky launches, and small punctures patched promptly to protect the drop-stitch core.
