The RIB480W is the wide-beam variant of the 4.8-metre range, with a 2.35 m beam that provides exceptional lateral stability and deck space — 35 cm wider than the standard 480 models. Designed for passenger charter, dive operations, and expedition support and rated for outboard engines up to 60 HP, it is the roomiest 480 model and a popular choice for commercial operators who prioritise deck capacity and passenger comfort. At 280 kg net weight with 680 kg max load for 6 persons, it offers the widest usable platform in the range.

This extra beam translates into superior at-rest stability, more usable deck space, and a drier ride in beam seas. Available in white, grey, navy, red, or custom RAL gelcoat.
• Tubes: Hypalon/PVC tubes with 48 cm diameter and 5 independent air chambers. The wide stance created by the 2.35 m beam further enhances the stability benefit of the tubes. Tube colour choices: black, grey, white, orange, red, and blue.
• Deck & Layout: Centre console with an integrated side seat, front and back cabins with cushions, and a stainless steel back rest. A 60 L built-in fuel tank and a fibreglass or stainless steel targa arch with 3 navigation lights are standard.
• Engine & Performance: Max engine rating of 60 HP (44.74 kW). At 280 kg, the 480W is as heavy as the 480C/D, and the wider beam benefits from a 60 HP outboard for best performance across the 680 kg load range.
• Safety: 5 air chambers, standard bilge pump, and a targa arch with navigation lights for improved all-round visibility.
• Manufacturing: Hand-laid fibreglass hull with vinylester resin. Tubes assembled using thermofusion welding for leak-proof seams. Every hull tank-tested for 48 hours prior to fitting.
