RIB 450 Patrol

The RIB 450 Patrol is a 4.5-metre commercial-grade aluminium RIB engineered for the daily demands of dive operators, coastguard auxiliaries, harbour pilots, passenger charter operators, and offshore service crews. Its 4 mm marine-grade aluminium 5083 hull and 1.5 mm Hypalon tube deliver unmatched durability in a compact patrol platform, with a 1,200 kg load capacity and support for engines up to 90 hp.

Technical Features

• Hull: CE-certified marine-grade aluminium 5083 hull, 4 mm plate with reinforcement stringers — far tougher than equivalent fibreglass hulls. The self-bailing deck with a non-skid pattern keeps the work surface safe and dry in wet conditions. Available in white, grey, navy, red, or custom RAL gelcoat finishes.
• Tubes: 1.5 mm Hypalon provides exceptional UV and abrasion resistance, with a replaceable-in-sections design that simplifies field repairs. Heavy-duty hardware includes 8 grab lines, 6 lifting points, and 2 bow cleats. Tube colour choices include black, grey, white, orange, red, and blue. PVC standard; Hypalon upgrade available.
• Deck & Layout: Custom console with a spacious electronics panel ready for radios, sounder, plotter, and EPIRB. Below-deck storage accommodates a 100 Ah battery and a 25 L fuel tank, keeping weight low and the deck clear.
• Engine & Performance: Recommended power of 60 hp with a max rating of 90 hp. The lightweight aluminium hull (220 kg hull-only) delivers excellent power-to-weight ratio, translating to brisk planing and responsive handling under load. Estimated speed range: cruising 20-25 knots, top 28-35 knots with a 60-90 HP outboard.
• Safety: 5 independent air chambers provide substantial redundancy. The self-bailing deck, non-skid surfaces, and heavy-duty grab lines are standard on every 450 Patrol.
• Manufacturing & Quality: Hand-laid fibreglass hull with vinylester resin and gelcoat finish. Tubes assembled using thermofusion welding for leak-proof seams. Every hull tank-tested for 48 hours prior to fitting. Aluminium hulls receive full weld inspection and marine-grade protective coating.
• Certifications: CE approved under the EU Recreational Craft Directive. ISO 9001 quality management system. Hull warranty 5 years, tube warranty 2 years.
