Integrated Quality<br />Control Framework

Our QC system operates independently from production and reports directly to management. No batch is shipped without signed quality release from the quality lab.

Independent Quality Lab

Our quality lab operates as a separate function from production. QC inspectors report to the Quality Manager, not the Production Director. This organizational independence ensures that quality decisions are made objectively — production deadlines never override quality requirements.

Batch Traceability

Every batch of raw material is assigned a unique lot number in our ERP system. From material arrival through production to finished product, each boat's bill of materials links back to original supplier batches. This enables full upstream traceability for any quality or compliance inquiry.

Inspection Stages

Six-Stage<br />Inspection Process

Every product passes through 6 inspection stages with documented QC checkpoints. Defects are caught early, corrective actions are immediate, and every batch is fully traceable.

Incoming Material Inspection

All incoming materials are logged by batch/lot number and quarantined until QC sign-off. PVC/Hypalon fabric rolls are tested for tensile strength (ASTM D751), tear resistance (ISO 4674), and thickness. Drop-stitch cores, valves, adhesives, and hardware are visually inspected and measured against specifications.

Threshold

100% of batches tested. Reject if tensile < 90% of spec, tear < spec min, or any visual defect

In-Process QC — Cutting & Prep

CNC-cut panels are dimensionally checked against CAD source files every 20th panel. Edge quality is inspected for fraying, uneven cuts, or dimensional drift. Panel count is verified against the BOM for each production batch before materials move to welding.

Tolerance ±0.5mm. Reject batch if >2% out of tolerance

In-Process QC — Welding & Bonding

During production, weld quality is continuously monitored. Peel tests (ASTM D751) are conducted on samples every 50 units. Weld width is measured against specification. Hot-air temperature logs are reviewed for consistency. Every seam is visually inspected under backlight for channeling or voids.

Threshold

Peel strength min 8 N/cm. Weld width tolerance ±1mm. Any visible channeling = reject

Assembly QC

Each unit follows a 100-point assembly checklist signed off by the team lead. Valve function is tested through 10 open/close cycles. Hardware torque is verified. Visual inspection covers surface finish, color consistency, label placement, and accessory completeness.

Zero-defect policy on safety-critical items (valves, D-rings, handles). Minor cosmetic: AQL 2.5 (ISO 2859)

Pressure Testing

Every chamber is inflated to 1.25× rated pressure and held for 24-48 hours. Pressure sensors log continuously throughout the hold period. Temperature-compensated readings ensure accuracy. Any chamber exceeding 5% pressure drop is rejected and sent for seam re-inspection with 100% re-test of the entire production batch.

Final Inspection & Shipment Release

Final visual and functional inspection before packing. Surface defects, color consistency, label/BIN verification, packaging integrity, and accessory completeness are checked against the customer order. Units are vacuum-packed, boxed, and palletized. Final QC sign-off is required before any product leaves the factory.

Testing Equipment

QC Lab
Equipment

Our quality lab is equipped with specialized testing equipment for material verification, weld integrity, and product performance validation.

Tensile Testing Machine

Measures fabric tensile strength and elongation per ASTM D751. Used for incoming QC of all PVC, Hypalon, and drop-stitch fabric batches.

Temperature Chamber

Environmental chamber for UV resistance testing (ASTM G154) and low-temperature flexibility testing. Simulates extreme operating conditions.

Pressure Sensors & Loggers

Digital pressure sensors with continuous data logging for 24-48 hour air retention tests. Temperature-compensated for accuracy.

Peel Test Rig

Calibrated peel testing equipment for weld seam strength verification. Random samples from every production batch.

Leak Detection Tank

Water tank for submerged leak testing of inflated chambers. Visual bubble detection for seam and valve integrity verification.

Inspection Tools

Calibrated measurement tools — thickness gauges, torque wrenches, dimensional calipers, hardness testers for production QC stations.

Metrics

Real pass/fail data from our production line. These metrics are monitored daily and reviewed monthly by management.

100% Units Tested

Every chamber of every boat is pressure-tested before shipping. No sampling — 100% inspection on pressure integrity.

<5% Pressure Drop

Maximum allowable pressure loss over 24 hours at 1.25× rated pressure. Any chamber exceeding this threshold triggers batch re-test.

AQL 2.5

Acceptable Quality Level for major defects per ISO 2859 sampling standard. Zero tolerance on safety-critical defects.

24-48 Hour Hold

Pressure hold duration varies by product category. RIB chambers: 48 hours. SUP and inflatable boats: 24 hours.

1.25× Test Pressure

Safety margin on every chamber — tested at 25% above rated pressure to ensure margin above maximum operating conditions.

0% Safety Defects

Zero tolerance policy on safety-critical defects — valves, D-rings, seams, and buoyancy chambers. Any defect = 100% re-inspection.
